Saturday, April 25 at 5:30am in PDT
Elsje Point Vancouver, British Columbia
BCAFL will be hosting a dawn service at Victory Square to commemorate the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZACs) at Gallipoli 100 years ago to the day.
This is a very special day for all Aussies and Kiwis and we encourage all to join us at Elsje Point at 530am (sunrise is at 602am) to remember those who have paid the ultimate price for our way of life.
We also encourage everyone to bring a story of a friend or family member who was involved in war to share with others either at the commemoration or sometime throughout the day. We have all in some way been affected by war and it is important to never forget how fortunate we are.
For those who cant make the Dawn Service. The Canadian Australian New Zealand Business Association (CANZBA) will be hosting a service at 10am at Victory Square. Moose's Down Under will be open at 11am for drinks and good tucker.
