Albert Park club holds a social evening at the MSAC complex each Wednesday from 7.30pm to 10pm. We operate on courts 1, 2, 3, and 4 in the main badminton stadium -- and set up a table near court 2 for the payment of nightly fees.
Come dressed in sports clothing -- but most important wear sports shoes with non-marking soles.
If you don't have a racquet we may be able to lend you one.
We have a limit of 36 players to ensure that all players can play 3 games in the evening. It is suggested you arrive before 8.00pm as the committee person on duty has to plan games in advance.
Social badminton costs $8.00 for non-members and $5.00 for members -- we guarantee 3 games each of 20 minutes duration -- and provide feathered shuttles.
Membership costs $40.00 annually - for a calendar year - we also offer 6 monthly membership ($25.00). We discount these fees for concession card holders.
We've had a few nights recently when we had to turn some people away as we reached our maximum.
Competiton Badminton
Albert Park Badminton Club enters teams in the Central Badminton Association competition.
The competition uses the rally point scoring system - singles are played to 15, doubles to 21.
Competition runs for 15 weeks plus 2 finals from the week beginning Feb 1 2010.

We usually publish 2 or 3 editions each year but as the editor has been on extended leave of absence and the few committee people remaining have not found the time to publish any this year.
