How do
the Certificate and License Differ?

The easiest way to define the distinction is as follows:

Futsal Certificate – Coaching competencies will be highlighted and experienced but not formally assessed.

Futsal License – Coaches are formally assessed and deemed competent or not yet competent.

Naturally, a higher order of planning, thinking, observing and organisation would be expected should you wish to qualify for the licence accreditation.

Accreditation required for FFV Futsal programs

It is a FFV requirement that all coaches involved in the FFV State Futsal Program hold the Futsal License accreditation or higher i.e. AFC Futsal Level 1 or 2.

Our aim is to have all Futsal coaches who coach in the Melbourne Futsal League holding a Futsal License before the end of 2013. It will be mandatory for all Melbourne Futsal league coaches to hold the Futsal Certificate for the start of the 2013 season.

Coach registration on MyFootballClub

All Futsal club coaches are required to be registered on MyFootballClub (MFC). Registration as a coach on MFC entitles the coach to member rates ($82-$92) for coach education courses as opposed to non member rates ($300-$500) that are significantly higher.   There is no cost associated with registering as a coach on MFC.

A coaching package in each club account has been set up on MFC for coaches to register.
