Rep Practice Carnival - Saturday 12th October 2013

Welcome back everyone.

Well after two weeks break, this week we start fixtures again this Wednesday.

BUT more importantly we have our Rep Practice Games this Saturday.

The draw for the weekend is below.   I have been advised of the Rugby League Presentations in the afternoon and hope that those involved in both will make the effort to get to both seeing as both venues are only walking distances apart.

Also on below are the team selections.    These selections have been made by their Head Coaches, Teresa and Sandra, with the exception of the U14 Boys.  The U14 boys selection was done by Teresa and Sandra only from the training sessions / fixture games and bearing in mind availability forms returned for each QNJBC tournament.

We do have the pleasure of advising we have finally found a willing coach to put their hand up to be the Head Coach of our Burdekin U14 Boys team.   Dennis Pugnale has said he will take on this role and will be ably assisted by assist coach/manager Jason Harch.    Thank you Dennis and Jason for putting your hand up to help keep the Rep Program for this age group alive.

**These team selections are ONLY for the first QNJBC tournment.  These teams may be altered for each QNJBC as the Head Coach and Coaching Directors see fit.

Every Squad Member however will be playing this Saturday at our Practice Games.

If the large number of Reserves in our U14 age group keep attending their relevant training - we will also try and include you as a 'team' in our Burdekin U12 QNJBC tournament in March 15 & 16 , 2014.

In the U16 Girls Age Group Sandra will attempt to give all eleven girls court time during this Practice Match, however not all eleven will be selected to play in their first QNJBC on the 23rd and 24th of November.

MANAGERS - Please be sure to get your uniforms before Saturday. U12B White / U12G Blue / U14G White/ U14 B (1) White / U14B (2) Blue / U16G White/ U16B White/ U18G Blue  ** U12G Manager have both sets ready for intersquad game.  ALSO  please advise all players to be at courts at least 1/2 hr before game time.

SCORING DUTIES - This will also be a great chance for parents to practice scoring a fully timed match, also doing the summary sheet after scoring a game.

CANTEEN - During the day we will definitely need some help in the canteen and the cooking of burgers.  When your child is not playing, if you could help in those areas it would be greatly appreciated.

COACH BRADY - will also be travelling down from Innisfail to oversee the teams and give guidance and advice to players and coaches.

If you can (I know we are all time poor) - but try and come down for the whole day and support all age groups.   If you are in one of our older age groups, come down and show your support for our littlies and vice versa.

We will also have some fun stuff in the 4.45 time slot for parents and coaches for those willing.

We look forward to a fun afternoon.

See you all there.

Yours in Basketball

Sandra & Teresa
