Hi all
I don’t know how widely circulated it is, but I thought it would be good to share some of the news, success stories and diary dates from Jody’s recent Bexley Volleyball Newsletter.
“As the Winter season draws to a close, it is now time to start focusing on the Summer season. Junior and senior grass tournaments, beach events, training in the park, London Youth Games and much more.
Below are details of these events, but before we get to them I think it’s worth summing up some of the successes of our Winter Season.
- The club has at least two players invited to England Junior training
- 4 have been selected to play for SE England in the inter regional
- Many juniors and senior players are now also playing at Dartford and are regularly picking up MVP (Most Valuable Player) recognitions.
- The girls London Youth Games team from last year have received free Leisure Centre membership for their success.
- The boys and girls U15 teams made it through to the South Region round of the Nationals.
- Both foundation league teams have done well in the Kent league, winning many fixtures and giving all teams a run for their money.
- We had 3 people attending a scoring course to develop their skills.
- And we had a very successful AQUA volley session to promote the sport! A lot has been happening!
Now looking forward to some key dates:

We are trying to arrange a beach club night at the Samuel Montague Centre in Kidbrooke for the summer - hopefully more details to follow”
Well, it’s fair to say that Jody certainly doesn’t let the grass grow (pardon the pun, with all the references to outdoor grass tourneys!), with a raft of events for the Bexley crowd to keep interested and playing, over the Summer. Great work, Jody, and good luck to the Bexley teams – see you at Ashcombe, at least………
