This August the Club is Heading off to Holland for the pretigious LIMBURG BASKETBALL TROPHY 2013

We are hoping to Bring 4 teams to this event in the beautiful city of Masstricht in the south of Holland.

U16 Boys and Girls plus u18 Boys and Girls.

These teams are the life and future of our club and with nowhere enough games here locally ya gotta go and get them

This is a massive undertaking by the club as its strives to provide top class basketball for our players. Basketball is a unique sport in that teams regularly fly off  to foreign countries to further their basketball knowledge in this global game and get to play kids from all over the world. We went to the Flanders Tournament in Belgium for 4 years bringing teams to experience basketball in a foreign country while having the time of their lives with their buddies and playing a very high standard. Its ideal preparation for the new season for our players and gives them the focus to keep fit over the summer. While the cost is a major issue we feel we must provide these sort of trips for our teams or they get left behind, all the sucessfull clubs head off in the summer with the USA the main destination. This tournament is an easier way to get a similar experience.

Some Teams that are already entered; U16 Boys - Cordoba (Top Spanish Club), B2B Basics USA, Eindhoven Holland, Maastricht Holland.U18 Girls B2B Basics Usa, Kosova National Team, Toronto Knights Canada, plus teams from Holland, Belgium and Isreal. U18 Boys - B2B Usa, Eindhoven, Utrecht, plus Cordoba Spain and a Belgian team. All the age groups will have plenty of European oppostiion with some from further afield with the girls coming up against an Isreali team a unique experience.

To make this easier on the wallet for anyone going we will have a 12 hour basketball Marathon where the kids can get sponsors for the trip to cut the costs of each player.

WE will also have a Sponsorship card for the whole group where we need to collect to pay for the transport and the team entries which is €150 a team which is €600 altogether. So we need to gather around €2000 for this which is a hell of lota gathering. We also hope to provide the group with a couple of t shirts for the trip. So now the tricky bit, is there anyone out there willing to get behind the trip and sporsor any of the bus trips to from the airport ireland - group meals - bus trip to and from the airport holland - Bus trip to Walibi Park - anything really as we give the kids of the area a sporting focus for their summer ahead with a nice reward of a foreign trip at the end of it. Any sponsor of these will get a great mention on the website and facebook pages which has a great audience of a few thousand people at this stage.

Now the the cost;

Individual

5 nights Hotel plus B & B; €250

Flights ; €160

Evening meals for each will be around €13 each evening €65 altogether

thats about €480 when added.

Lunch ; Helpers to provide this each day so should be cheap enough if we get to a super market and do this ourselves

Transport is a big one; Coach to Dublin and back €600 -  Coach return  form airport to hotel in Holland €500

We hope to have a fun day of going to the Walabi park http://www.walibi.com/belgium/be-en. The admission for this €29 for the kids but we'll have to price a coach hire for the day to see if this is affordable.

We dont have enough Adults at the minute so any parents or club members that fancy a break please get in touch cause if we dont get some more adults we wont be able to go. Maastricht is a lovely city check the wee video here http://bcove.me/8sfew1qt  for a break and with lovely boat trips around the city plus great shopping and dining it'll relly be a great trip for all with something for everyone.

Thanks,

Sinky
