Game review from the Youth Men's Team

Game Review from players of the Youth Men's Team
OBC Youth vs Sutherland Sharks.

Our 2nd game was player at the Sutherland Basketball Stadium and it was a very intense and physical games against and open men's side.

Even though as a team we lost the game 69 - 65 we learnt many things and gained a lot of exposure to what it is like to have to play a game whereby you have to call on experience and play against very tough players.

All the players contributed a huge amount of guts and effort to this game and wore the OBC uniform with pride.

Novick took excellent outside shots throughout the game executing successfully when we needed the shots to go in. He also assisted with excellent passing and assists to inside shooters.

Bob controlled the game well and did good selection passes and good decisive moves that created scoring opportunities for the team.

Taihia - Captained and lead the team well in offence and defence. He was very aggressive and took good shots.

Marques - Top scored with 15 points. He played very aggressive offence and contributed well with his assists and the highlight of his game was taking an offensive foul during the 3rd quarter.

Benoit - Contained the big posts on defence and made good shot selection. He rebounded the ball well offensively and defensively.

Lowane - did very well on offence having to get a second shot on many occasions. Rebounding very well and playing aggressive defence.

Dia - played a very controlled game. He took excellent shots and rebounded well.

Anthony - played aggressive and tough defence on the post. He rebounded very well and took excellent shots when open.

Thomas - Hustled and was very hungry for the rebound. He took courageous shots inside the key against 6"7' post players and did really well playing defence against these big players.

The game was very challenging mentally as well because of our height disadvantage and age / experience difference, but we had the guts to give it our best effort and finished the game just 4 point behind.
