Twisties Secondary Schools Basketball Championships

The National Secondary Schools Basketball Championships has been officially declared as the Twisties Games. The competition will officially open tomorrow (Saturday 22nd August) with an opening ceremony at 10 am at the Vodafone Arena. All teams are requested to be at the games venue at 9 am dressed in their basketball uniforms. After the opening ceremony Basketball Fiji's partners UNAIDS will be running a HIV/AIDS basketball clinic with the players. The theme of the competition "More than Just Basketball" will come to life as high school students partcipate in the Dunking Aids Out Program. Basketball Fiji believes that basketball could be used as tool to develop personal characters, encourage team work and to further educate our future leaders of tommorrow. Basketball Fiji would like to acknowledge our minor sponsors Stayin Alive for providing as with match balls, shoe vouchers and polo shirts for our volunteers. We look forward to running a very successful tournament and a strong partnership with our sponsors (Twisties & Stayin Alive) and partners, UNAIDS.
