FIBA 3X3 Press Release

PRESS RELEASE for FIBA OCEANIA:

Immediately following the anouncement that Guam has been invited to the 1st INVITATIONAL FIBA 3X3 WORLD YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS, the Guam Basketball Confederation is pleased to confirm that Coaches Tony Thompson and Jon Lujan will be Guam's Team Leaders for the tournament.

The 3-day event will take place in Rimini, Italy, beginning on September 9, 2011. The Guam Basketball Confederation has acted swiftly to seize the opportunity considering Guam's Participation was confirmed on August 1, 2011.

GBC is proud to announce the 4-member roster for the Mens' and Womens' 18U Junior National 3x3 Teams that will be representing Guam:

To add to our excitement, FIBA Oceania has generously paid for one complete team to attend the 3x3 event. The timing of this kind offer couldn't be more perfect as there was no time to plan fundraising events. We would like to express our sincere gratitutde and appreciation to FIBA Oceania's Secretary General, Mr. Steve Smith, for his generous assistance.
