NBDO Workshop Suva Fiji
FIBA Oceania Development Manager Annie La Fleur coordinated a 3rd NBDO Workshop in partnership with Hoops 4 Health Coaches from around the Pacific. The main topic of this workshop is on FIBA's push for 3x3.
Nicolas Widmer from FIBA 3x3 made his long journey from Geneva Switzerland to Suva Fiji. Preaching the word of 3x3. Things being discussed throughout the week are the concept of 3x3, rules for both referees and players how to organize a 3x3 and the different tools available online.
The most interesting part of this workshop to me personally is the visits out to the schools and the community teaching the basic skills of basketball and introducing the concepts of 3x3.
We are in the process of setting up a Pacific Jams 3x3 Tournament on Saturday to help the 3x3 movement here in Fiji. There will be 3 different divisions U16, U18 and an Open Division. This should be a day of fun.
