GBC Conducts Officials Clinic
On April 8, 2008, GBC had its first organization meeting with individuals who are interested in becoming a FIBA certified official. Bob Pelkey and Hank Parker will be conducting clinics on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm at the Phoenix Center. The newly form officials will not be competing to call games against the island’s only local MSOA officials Association. The organization was established only to call games that are affiliated with GBC. In the future, GBC will choose officials from this organization to travel with the men and women’s team to FIBA sanction events.
