2011 Rudimch Government/Business League: PNOC/PBRA moves to Final Four
In a surprise turn of events, PNOC/PBRA Mercury Optimax found themselves in the Final Four after beating Ministry of Education (MOE) I Spiders, 59-56 Friday night in the ongoing 2011 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.
Trailing 18-10 in the first quarter, PNOC/PBRA Mercury Optimax shift to offensive mode in the second as they outscored the Spiders with a 21-4 out put to close the first half with a 31-22 lead.
From there PNOC/PBRA Mercury Optimax held on as they scored a huge upset to take a ticket to the Final Four. Ziske Asanuma led the scoring chores for PNOC/PBRA Mercury Optimax with 32 points while Obak Joshua had 17 for the Spiders on the losing end.
In other games, MOF Omsangel won over PPUC Kamik, 97-82; SDA defeated Fish and Fins Hunters, 89-72; Mason’s Hardware outscored PRR Dragons, 80-73; and the Spoilers route Sam’s Sharks, 107-81.
Games resume tonight with the playoffs for the Business division featuring Mason’s Hardware versus SDA Crusaders at 6 p.m. while the Spoilers will face the winner of the Neco-PPR Shark Attack match at 7:30 p.m.
Tomorrow’s matches will have MOF Omsangel taking on the winner of the MOJ Cops-KSG match at 6 p.m. while PNOC/PBRA Mercury Optimax will take on the winner of the MPIIC-PNCC Molekoi game at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday night’s game will have the consolation game for the Business division at 6 p.m. while the consolation game for the Government division will be at 7:30 p.m.
