The morning of the tournament started off slow as you entered Atele indoor arena. The first team that was warming up had a 6ft 6in player  named Vinal  and it was obviuos why they were called the Shack Attack. Soon after, more teams started to show up all with there different colored unifoms. The 4th place overall Havelu Youngsters in all red looked good to go. There players were young but they had a big veteran (Sione kioa) to help in the post and rebounding and power department.  The second place overall were the Bulls from Nukunuku, there key players was a seasonal veteran name Paea Mapa at point gaurd and Vili Taufa at 6ft 5in played the big man which made it difficult for other teams to match up with. The Yankee 1 team had a real great player in Feke Latu. His leadership and knowlege of the game was very helpful to his team and to the Ocean of Light Academy were he teaches in there physical education department and the Ocean of Light academy also was in the tournament. The Yankees also had second team they were the Yankees 2,these two teams are both from Ha'ateiho. The 3rd place overall was the Fuamotu Jazz. There team was a well rounded team with a good point gaurd in Olalei Lapuaho and a good supporting cast. One of them was Paula Tenifa. He reminded me of a Dennis Rodman type of player,but that was not enough to stop the Bulls of Nukunuku from advansing to the finals to play the undefeated Liahona squad that made it through the winners bracket unblemished,resting and waiting for the winners between the Jazz and the Bulls. The Bulls defeated the Jazz by a score of 7 to 6. It was a close game but not enough for the Jazz to play for the championship against Liahona.  The Bulls first and only lost was to Liahona in its first game,Liahona had already played and won over the Ocean of Light team by a score of 19 to 8 in its first game. The Bulls first game was to Liahona,which was a close one. Liahona sqeezed past the bulls at the buzzer by 16 to 15. The Bulls grinded through three tough games to meet a well rested Liahona team. The bulls were given a 15 minute rest before the finals with Liahona. Finaly the clock started, the two teams were going back and forth it was all even after eleven minutes of play. The big man and go to guy Paul Tupou of Liahona was missing all his out side shots,so was his teammates and so were the bulls. With 4 minutes left Liahona went to plan "B". Tupou posted  down low and his point gaurd Loa kept feeding him the ball. While Mateolona Mataele there third player was doing all that he could to contribute with a bad knee,Liahinona pulled of spectacular win over the Nukunuku Bulls. It was a great turn out and we like to thank all those who helped and volonteered to make this a success.
