Medal day is finally here.
During the tournament the teams have conducted themselves with pride, with only a few disappointing incidents marring the friendliness and intense competitive spirit.
FIBA Oceania staff have remarked on the great improvement in players skills and game knowledge since the last SPG competition. The standard of coaching has also improved dramatically, with coaches now experimenting with a variety of offencive and defensive plays and strategies.
Also very noticable has been the number of graduates from the Oceania All Star teams of 2004 & 2006 who are now playing on their senior National team.
