DOHA: PEACE Qatar went down against Dukhan Ballers in a heartbreaking loss by a mere single point during a featured game held for the 16th Season Men’s Basketball League – Power Horse Cup 2014 of Pinoy Basketball of Qatar (PIBAQ) held at Al Gharafa Training Gym.

The final score was 98-97 in favour of Dukhan.

CJ Casas, who made a crucial free-throw shot for his team towards the end of the match, led the campaign of Dukhan to upset Peace. Contributing 40 points, he was no doubt on fire on the hard court.

Peace was dominating the game for the quarters. They even wrapped up third quarter with nine point lead. The score was 79-70. But Dukhan stepped up their game in the fourth quarter to narrow the lead of their opponent.

With the start of the dreaded last two minutes of the game, Peace was still enjoying a three-point lead. And then Junio made another two-point shot to raise their lead into five. Casas, however, was not shaken by these developments and worked harder under pressure. With a successful two-point shot and free throw, he led his team to sweet victory with a single point lead.

Meanwhile in the third team division, Team Graphitees/ Sara pulled a convincing win against The Pearl. The final score was 85-41.

The tournament sponsored by Power Horse Energy Drink, Diana Jewellery & Watches, Boracay Filipino Restaurant and August Sports Tailor.
