Mixed Jam 2015 - Tip Off
Last Thursday saw the opening round of the Mixed Jam competition tip off. Teams turned out in force and although there was a little bit of ‘rust’ blow out, teams managed to find the Basket with relative ease. Opening night teams on the winning side of the ledger were Matutu NCA who staved off a spirited challenge from MFEM 38 – 21. JTK Venturers had a tidy game against Wigmores and managed to outscore them 36 – 21. Pacific Divers were not really hustled by MFAT amassing a whopping 51 points to a meager 10 for the NZ High Commission newcomers. The final game of the night had the strong Avalicious team easily see off another new team to the block, West-Enderz 56-12.
Top scorers for the night were Annie Tearetoa of Avalicious (24), Alana Smith of Pacific Divers(22) and Teumere Koteka of Matutu NCA (18).
