BVDL WEEK 15 GAME PREVIEWS

BVDL MEN

KNOX vs KILSYTH

Saturday 7th July – 8:00pm

Knox was slaughtered by 40pts in round four by the Cobras, but this game will be entirely different.  Knox were defeated by Bendigo last week so the Raiders need to learn that every game is crucial and they can’t take any opponent lightly.  Kilsyth can move into top position should they win both games this weekend.

FRANKSTON vs NUNAWADING

Sunday 8th July – 2:00pm

Nunawading have had a disappointing season this year, and have struggled to be competitive against the top four teams this year.  Frankston have been up and down all year, but could win this game this week despite having lost twice to the Spectres already this year.  Nunawading need to have Costa Hronopoulos in uniform to have any chance of securing the win.

SANDRINGHAM vs KILSYTH

Sunday 8th July – 2:00pm

With a two game buffer now over fifth place Nunawading the Sabres are aiming for the Rangers third place on the ladder.  The Sabres are on a six game winning streak but are yet to beat the Cobras this season.  If Sandringham wants to be known as Championship contenders they need to secure the win this week.

BVDL WOMEN

KNOX vs KILSYTH

Saturday 7th July – 6:00pm

Knox need to keep winning and hope either Dandenong and Nunawading drop a few games for them to sneak back into the top two and get home court advantage in the playoffs.  Knox defeated Kilsyth by 20+pts earlier in the season, but cannot take this game for granted as Kilsyth have the potential to win this game.

FRANKSTON vs NUNAWADING

Sunday 8th July – 12:00pm

Nunawading have had the better of Frankston in both games already this season, and need to keep winning to remain on top of the ladder.  Spectres Maddie White is having a sensational season and is a candidate for the MVP award at seasons end.  Frankston will need to stop her if they are to win this game and consolidate their position in the top four.

SANDRINGHAM vs KILSYTH

Sunday 8th July – 12:00pm

Sandringham has won two of their past three games and is still in contention for a playoffs position.  The addition of Monique Lyth to the line-up for this game gives the Sabres an extra scoring option and therefore not relying heavily on MVP contender Shannon Perret.
