Youth in Touch Tournament 2009

The Youth in Touch Tournament,was well supported by Youth teams from throughout Singapore, in spite of the change of date caused by the H1N1 virus.

A total of 24 teams of males and females in 18s, 20s, and 23s Age Divisions contested this Event.

The Tournament was well catered for with Referees, a good mix of TFS senior and youth referees ensured the day ran smoothly and on time.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic won both the Mens 18s and 20s Divisions. In the 18s Division the game was extremely tight and came to a sudden death drop off situation before Ngee Ann could defeat the Hwa Chong side.

While in the Mens 20s Division they ran out narrow winners over Republic Polytechnic, with Kenrick Ho earning the MVP award

 

In the Mens 23s Division, SP Avengers defeated Best Friends, with SP No. 7 Derrick Ng being named as MVP

 

The Womens 18s Final was a tough game, played between two very good Junior College teams, and featuring a number of our National 18s players. In the end Hwa Chong continued their year long dominance of this age group by beating Waffles 3 touchdowns to nil. Joleen Lee was named as MVP

In the Womens 20s Final Republic Polytechnic were defeated by the Fairest of All with Siti Suhaina Adm awarded MVP

The Womens 23s Final was palyed between NUS and Vermonster. At full time, neither team had been able to score and the game went to extra time. In the Sudden death drop off Vermonster got the only touchdown of the game. Alvinia Ow Yong was awarded the MVP
