London 2012: Do or die for Na

Oceania's lone women's representative in the singles had beaten Monika Fasungova in her debut match on Monday. The victory setup a do-or-die clash against Singapore's Juan Gu to determine who would top Group D and advance to the round of 16.

Na needed to win her second match to secure a passage to the knock-out stage but lost in the women's badminton singles following her defeat 21-10 21-7 in just 22 minutes of play.

The world number 17 showed too much class and poise against Na, wrapping up the first set in 12 minutes before clinching the second in 10 on Court 3 at Wembley Arena.

"It was a really great experience and I am glad I got the opportunity to experience competition at this level," Na said after battling against full-time professionals.
