Introducing the new President of KAA

A NEW ENTHUSIAST.

The existing KAA President, Mr. Tierata Taukaban, ceased to be President for personal, family reasons.   As a result, last Saturday (April 25th.) KAA held an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) for the sole purpose of electing an interim President.

The result of this Meeting and election was that Mr. Arobati Brechtefeld was elected unopposed.   He will hold office until the scheduled election for President at the KAA Annual General Meeting (AGM) next March.

The news has been sent to Oceania AA and IAAF.   In reply, Arobati received an enthusiastic welcome from Yvonne at OAA.

Being fairly new to the organisation, Arobati admits that he has started on a learning curve.   He is the Administrative Services Director at the local Mormon (LDS) High School.

At his first Executive Meeting, after the EGM, he expressed a wish to help and to be helped by the members.

CELEBRATORY LUNCH !

As has become a habit / tradition in KAA, we intend to hold a welcome lunch for Arobati and the earlier-elected Mr. Kaeka Temoai.

Kaeka will be the official Delegate from KAA to the OAA Congress on Gold Coast next month.   We are sure he will be made welcome by the other members of OAA, especially Micronesia !
