March Madness- Day 5 Highlights

Kolonia, Pohnpei- Another day, new updates and action. Day 5 brings some interesting games. In the first match, the young IBC team beat the last year's Liberation Games 5th finishers team Sapwuafik 71-42. IBC picked up their tempo late in the 2nd period and rallying baskets after baskets. Team Sapwu committed numerous turn-overs that caused them the very critical game. Top scorers for IBC: Clinton Dikepa (#22) with 18 pts, Rodines (#25) 14 pts, and Joshua (#32) and Amyson (#7) scored 8 pts a piece. Roland (#12) led Sapwu with 12 pts, #51 Rohny with 11 pts, and Dusty (#22) contributed 7 pts.
In the second match saw another interesting game between Pohnpei Campus Purple Sharks and Mojukese. Purple Sharks led most of the game until the final seconds in the games. 5 seconds remaining in the match, Purple Sharks up 60-58. A turn-over committed earlier causing Mojukese to in-bound the ball. Anthony Ehram (#15) recieved the in-bound near the half-court and with 2 seconds remaining made a buzzer beater from downtown. The Pohnpei Campus Gymnasium exploded with cheers from fans and spectators. Lery Kohper (#5) top scored everyone with 25 pts, Anthony Ehram (#15) with 8 pts, and Lee-roy Mike (#32) and Bedson Alpin (#13) each put up 6 pts. Luke Paulino (#20) led the losing side with 16 pts, and three other Purple Sharks in double: Nero Lawrence (#8) with 15 pts, Santer (#13) 13 pts, and Jimmy Mihkel (#24) with 11 pts.
The final match saw Awak Wolverines and Pee- 4's AKA Ng go head to head. The Wolverines only trails in the opening basket by Tommy Lucios (#24) in the opening tip. After that, it was all Wolverines. At the end of the game, Wolverines led by 32 pts with the final score 85-53. Five Wolverines scored double digits. Ramsie Joab (#5) led the Wolverines with 21 pts, Eugene Amor (#13), Adelino Primo(#8), and Adelino Joab(#14) each scored 14 pts, followed by Maynard Louis(#6) with 12 pts. Tommy Lucios (#24) led Pee-4 with 18 pts and Bobby Celestine (#7) with 15 pts, contributing 8 pts is Ninster Lawrence (#15).
