March Madness- Day 7 Highlights

Kolonia, Pohnpei- Day 7 start out with Old School and IBC in a deciding game on who will clinch the #2 seat in Pool A. IBC had the advantage with youth, speed, and agility claiming the #2 seat with a 81-59 score victory over Old School. Clinton Dikepa (#22) made 16 pts in his victory over Old School and Renster (#12) contributed 12 pts. Aurelio Joab (#12) had 14 pts to back up Loatis' (#13) 15 pts.
Pohnpei Campus Purple Sharks played in a to-or-die match with Troy Yaingeluo and the Warriors in the second match, but failed to achieve their goal with a wide spread 89-68 defeat to the Strippling Warriors. It was a mis-match in all areas. The Warriors' guards are bigger than all the Purple Sharks players. The Strippling Warriors finished 2nd in Pool B.
The third match saw SDA Dolphins and Awak Wolverines. This match was the deciding game on who will be crowned #1 in Pool C. In a very tigth first three periods, Wolverines was able to pull away in the final period with a score of 66-48. Ramsie Joab (#5) made four 3-balls to go with his 22 pts, Adelino Primo (#8) contributing 14 pts, and Adelino Joab (#14) with 10 pts. On the Dolphins side, Anthony Brackett (#24) high scored with 15 pts, and Carlos (#22) and Cain (#11) with 10 pts apiece.
In the final match of the evening of Day 7 was another deciding match between Barracudas and COM Sharks. There were lead changes and ties in this match-up. Towards the final minutes of the final period, Barracudas were trailing and don't have to juice to come back into the deciding game. Sharks pulled off the victory in a 68-50 game. Alvinus (#25) of the Sharks scored 19 pts and Tomasi Mawi (#8) with 8 pts. Willy Pahingai (#31) and Theodore (#32) each scored 8 pts and Benjamin (#24) putting up 7 pts.
