FSM Expert Arrives in Kosare

Ryan Burns with Kosrae State Sports Administrator Maker Palsis

FSM Basketball Expert Ryan Burns has arrived in Kosrae and has been very busy. Having only arrived a few days ago he has met with the Governor, the Chief Justice, the Speaker and a number of Municipality Mayors and School Principles. This has all been additional to meeting with members of the Kosrae Basketball Association (KBA) and the state players and coaches.

Ryan is being greatly assisted by Kosrae State Sport Administrator Maker Palsis who has put together a comprehensive schedule for Mr Burns and has been coordinating all of the required arrangements.

Ryan will be visiting each of the 4 Kosrae municipalities for approximnately 1 week each during his month long visit to conduct basketball clinics for the school children and also coaching and refereeing workshops for other members of the community. All are welcome to attend as Ryan said that "It would be great to get a lot of women involved in basketball because it is a sport that can be played by anyone of any gender, so i really encourage all Kosrae women to get involved."

Ryan's Schedule is as follows:

April 7 - 11 @ Lelu Elementary School from 1pm - 5pm

April 14 - 18 @ Tafunsak Elementary School from 1pm - 5pm

April 21 - 25 @ Utwa Elementary School from 1pm - 5pm

April 28 - May 2 @ Malem Elementary School from 1 pm - 5 pm

Ryan will also be involved with the training of the Kosraen Men's State Team and the conducting of a Level 1 Referees Course at the State Gym from 7pm every weeknight.
