In the first U17 boys semi-finals western giants Natabua defeated Indian College 26-14 to book a spot in the grand final of the U17 boys grade. Natabua will face a well skilled Latter Day Saints outfit. Latter Day Saints defeated defending champs Marist Brothers' High School in the second semi-finals 49-38. In the U17 girls defending champs Latter Day Saints walked over new comers Laucala Bay 48-9. In the second semi-finals Indian College defeated Suva giants Suva Grammar in overtime to book themselves into the semi-finals and will face basketball powerhouse LDS. The U19 boys and girls first semi-finals is currently been played.
The U15 boys grand final will be played at 1pm at the Vodafone Arena between International and Yat Sen. On court 2 the Under 15 girls grand final will have western giant Natabua vs. International. At 2 pm on court 1 U17 boys grand final will feature Natabua and Latter Day Saints and in the U17 girls grand final on court 2 will witness comers Indian College face traditional power house Latter Day Saints. At 3 pm is the boys and girls U19 grand final.
Defending champions Yat Sen Secondary School was defeated by Suva Grammar Secondary School in the first semi final 16-17 creating another upset in the Twisties National Secondary Schools Basketball Championships. In the other semi-final Latter Day Saints lead by National U20 Reps Vika Fifita and Grace Taito was able to beat a fired up Natabua team lead by inspiration captain Caroline Chambers 22-19. Latter Day Saints will play Suva Grammar in the U19 girls grand final at 3pm.
In the U19 boys grand final at 3pm defending champions Marist Brothers' High School will play Yat Sen Secondary School as a repeat of last year.
