Boost for Fiji teams

THE Fiji men's and women's basketball teams were presented their sporting kit by official sponsors BLK yesterday.

With BLK's full version, Beyond Limits Known, the merchandise company's general manager Josefa Matau challenged the young gladiators to produce results beyond lmits.

"We're pleased to present these set of kit to you," Matau said during the presentation at the University of the South Pacific Dinning Hall in Suva yesterday.

"BLK's longer form is Beyond Limits Known and we're giving you this kit to help achieve beyond limits."

Matau said Basketball Fiji had produced a very structural organisation which has produced results over the past six years.

"We have seen how basketball has grown in the country over the years and this gesture is just to show that we want to be part of the growth."

Matau added they had never supported basketball in any country worldwide.

"This is the first time we're sponsoring basketball and Fiji is the first country in the world to be supported by us."

He wished the team a good outing when the event starts tomorrow at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

Basketball Fiji president Iowane Naivalurua said they appreciated the support from BLK.

He urged the players to play with their hearts, mind and soul during the tournament.
