Lautoka Basketball League
The Lautoka Basketball League will begin round 1 of competition this Saturday 31st October, 2009 at the Lautoka mulitple courts. After opening their season with an impressive knockout tournament the association has organised their end of the year season with 8 registered teams with 4 more teams expected to join the round robin competition in the weeks to come. Below are the round 1 weekend draws:
2pm - Cougars vs Bankstown
3pm - Vikings vs Saints
4pm - Young Divas vs Vikings
5pm - Bankstown vs Yungsters
Duty team - Cougars
Duty Officials - Emily / Mosese Niurou
The Association in partnership with Basketball Fiji will host the National Christmas Club Championships on December 12, 2009. The two day event will be held at the Lautoka Multi purpose courts. The first 16 men's and 8 women's teams will be accommadated for the event with registration fee's at $150.00 per team. Registration forms are available at the Basketball Fiji head office in Suva while teams in Nadi and Lautoka are to contact Simi Cagilaba or Emily Chambers.
