Top teams for Boston tourney
SOME of the country's top basketball teams have confirmed participation in this week's Boston Basketball Tournament in Raiwaqa. The three-day tournament will be sponsored by Post Fiji. Tournament organiser Eroni Cinavilakeba said they expected a very tough tournament as most top clubs in the country had confirmed participation. Cinavilakeba said champion teams like Shaq Attack, Saints, and Warriors had registered teams to take part. "We want to take in 16 men's teams and six women's teams," Cinavilakeba said. "At the moment we have nine men's team already registered and registration will close tomorrow." Cinavilakeba said top women's teams like Golden Bati, Wed C and the Under-20 women's team will also be taking part. Cinavilakeba said the Boston club had been working very hard trying to organise a very successful tournament. Games will be played at three courts -- Eds Courts in Raiwaqa, the Indian College Courts and the International High School Courts. Cinavilakeba said they were working very closely with Fiji Basketball in organising the tournament. "They will help us in terms of getting all the referees and officials who look after time-keeping and controlling matches."
