MBHS books quarterfinal berth

 

Defending Under 19 boys champion of the Tuckers Secondary Schools Basketball tournament Marist Brothers High School have booked their place in the quarter finals.
 
This is after Marist beat Natabua 34-26 last night in their final match to top their pool.
 
Marist Under 19 captain Jonathan Kunau said even though they won he was disappointed that some of the players underestimated their opponents.
 
Marist is likely to meet either first timers QVS or Yat Sen Secondary School. 
 
In the boys Under 19 results yesterday, Latter Day Saints edged Saint Thomas High 29-27, QVS upset Yat Sen Secondary 20-19 while Ba Provincial Freebird Institute beat Gospel High School 23-21.
 
In the girls Under 19 grade results yesterday, Latter Day Saints beat Suva Grammar School 18-11, Adi Cakobau School thumped Cathedral Secondary 30-14, Saint Joseph’s Secondary beat Natabua 25-18 while Ba Provincial lost 23-10 to Suva Grammar.
 
The quarter final will be played later today.
