NATIONAL WOMEN ARE IN THE SWIM

Coach Shaw has been working the women's squad hard every Saturday from 6.00am in the pool with core strength exercises followed by a recovery session.

"The players are lacking in their core strength and their quadriceps strength", said Coach Shaw, and added, "these components are so essential for basketball players, especially with rebounding and shooting".

While the players do not mind the last part of the session with recovery, they moan and groan a little about the first part, but it is all showing benefit and the players realise that this part of their preparation is important.
