GIRLS - START YOUR DIET NOW!

Since arriving home various people have asked us what the Spanish people ate.  Food and lots of it is our answer.  Basically they eat bread with every meal and like lots of vegetables and fruits and pasta.  Mostly the food was much the same as we would eat at home.  In the tournament accommodation all the teams dined in the same large dining room with a buffet service.  To see how many of the teams lined up again and again for more (especially our girls) it was obvious they liked what they saw.

On a special note the food at the first of our accommodations at Colegio Aristos was superb and the catering staff did everything they could to make our life pleasant, including fitting in with our late schedules on some occasions.  The various soups they presented for lunch each day were superb.  Coach Mike was introduced to bread and olive oil (the Spanish are the biggest producers of olive oil in the world) and he liked it so much he had it at most meals.

The women's squad return to their conditioning program next week so the kilos will soon disappear (as hopefully will Coach's) .
