G-Unit beats Waidonu

G-UNIT took the Tu Vili Cinavilakeba Cup last Saturday with a close 28-24 score against the Raiwaqa Waidonu team. "With the help of ex-national reps, Justine Lorima Vula and Apenisa Tuimabualau they were able to get ahead of us. "We unfortunately had a few players missing -- Josh Motufaga who is in the current national training squad and Martin Singh," said assistant development officer, Nicholas Wong. Waidonu is a team of very good players but they were lacking when they played against G-Unit in the challenge. G-Unit were fast and agile and full of energy. With the great weather and a good crowd, the team happily received their winning and left on high spirits. This is the first time they have won the cup. However, the G-Unit team faces the Raiwaqa Veterans for the cup this Saturday. As for the normal weekly challenges, the Mighty Sharks won two games with a score of 32-30 against Knights and 47-39 against Macpacers. Chosen battered Raiwai, 48-13 to a bruising defeat.
