Basketball Fiji is proud to announce that Post Fiji will be the majour sponsor of the National Easter Club Championships which will be held at the Vodafone Arena from the 30th March - 3rd April, 2010. The best men's and women's clubs from Lautoka, Nadi, Raiwaqa and Suva/ Laucala Basketball Associations will be competing for the $1000 prize money while in the women's $700.00. A total of 26 teams have qualified and registered for the 5 days championships. The tournament will feature top men's teams such as Veterans and Boston from the Raiwaqa Basketball Players Association, Saints and Shaq from the Suva/ Laucala Basketball Association, and 2008 Easter Champs Vikings and Nadi from the Lautoka Basketball Association. In the women's competition Golden Bati will be tipped as favourites for the event however they will be facing stiff competition from traditional rivals Chosen who are laced with National U20 reps and Wed C who have a mixture of current and ex National reps with the likes of Dale Wise, Agnes Sokosoko and Seini Dobui. Furthermore Lautoka womens champ Vikings and Suva womens champ Knights will also be putting a claim on the Post Fiji womens title. An awards nights has been organised at the end of the competition and will be held at the Marist Old Boys Club from 7.30pm - 12.30pm.
