New uniforms for Bryce's Easter quest

RAIWAQA Basketball affiliate Bryceland will be in its new outfit at the upcoming Fiji Bitter Easter Basketball Championship.

The Bryceland camp revealed that the new set uniforms would certainly lift the morale of its players to strive for success next week. Bryceland has never won the Easter championship being bundled out at the quarter-final stages. The side will be boosted with the services of former national rep Lorima Vula, Max Tagiveitaua, Nicholas Wong and former Under-20 Joseph Peterson.

Bryceland is pooled with defending champion Saints of Suva and Police. Wong said they would concentrate on their pool matches first. "We will be wearing new uniforms from the fundraising the team did this year. This will certainly boost our morale but we need to concentrate on each game at a time.

"Our team is drawn in a tough pool with the defending champion so we need to give everything from the first game," Wong said. He said they would field two or three youngsters during the championship. "We also want to expose our new players so some of our development players will be given a chance to be exposed at this level. "We will take each game at a time," Wong said.

Bryceland lost to Police during the Raiwaqa knockout tournament earlier this year. Wong said it would be an appropriate time to deliver their revenge. "We will have the services of our captain (Peterson) back. He did not feature for us when we lost to Police but now we will take our revenge," Wong said.

Police is seeded fourth in the Raiwaqa competition.
