Basketball goes for a double

The Fiji men’s basketball team aims to defend their gold medal at the 2011 Pacific Games in Noumea later this month. Coach Paul Whippy said six members of his team were part of the winning team in the SPG 2007 in Samoa. “Leonard Whippy, Adrian Bosley, Sakiusa Rokoeli, Frank Saketa, Marques Whippy, Isikeli Mara and Kolinio Matalau were all part of the 2007 team,” Whippy said. “Right now they’re all focussed and 100 per cent confident of retaining their title. “We’re asking the boys to make 100 shoots a day to improve on their scoring ability. “We’re just trying to work on the psychology part.
