BOSTON Red continued their unbeaten streak when they beat Police in the Raiwaqa weekly basketball competition at Ed's Court yesterday. Police were no match for Boston as they went down 7-53 in the Super League competition. Raiwaqa basketball president Saula Koroi said the Warriors were the other undefeated team in the competition.

"This is round three of competition and Boston Red have not lost since they won the knockout competition last year," Koroi said. "Warriors, the national champions since they won the Easter Championship last year, are the other team in the Super League that is unbeaten after three rounds," he said.

He said four rounds of competition were still left and Raiwaqa Basketball was working on improving its defence as they build-up towards the Easter Championship. "We are still following the zone defence and man-to-man marking defence format. This will help Raiwaqa players improve their defence because we want to field the best defensive team in the Easter Championship."

Raiwaqa has also started a Kaji League whereby all kids between the ages of eight to 15 compete against each other in their respective grades.

"This is our way of teaching the kids and bringing the game down to the grassroots level," Koroi said.

Super League results: Womens: Sparks 58-USP 20, Reds 26-Chosen 24, Lady Birds 29-16 Mystics.

Mens: Boston Reds 53-Police 7, Boston White 41-McPacers 24, Warriors 48-USP 15.
