BASKETBALL FIJI CELEBRATES !!

The function to celebrate these achievements was held at the bistro of the USP lower campus and was attended by over 40 people.

As well as the BF Committee members, members of local basketball associations and family and friends attended.  The evening was filled with some nostalgia as the on screen presentations prepared by Baravi Thaman, received several viewings to revive memories of both Samoa and Spain.

Committee members provided many dishes of food and to everyone's surprise there was still food remaining at the end of the evening.  Poseci Moce and his family prepared the lovo and local companies provided drinks of both the soft and hard variety.

The function allowed NDP Squad members to get together in a social way, not something that happens too often, however all agreed that it should happen a bit more often.

Many people are thanked for their contribution to the evening:

●Poseci and immediate family – for their hard work in making the lovo and then helping in the kitchen throughout the night and cleaning up afterwards. Special mention must be made of Nunia Moce in   particular  and who worked hard  behind the scenes in preparing the food in the  kitchen on the night and the bar and shopping for the lovo.

●Dinesh – for the donation of the keg of beer , curry dish cooked and contribution of $50 towards the lovo expenses.

●Stuart – for cooking of some special dishes and organising the showing of the DVDs on the night and the supply of the equipment.

●Lucy – for the the salad and puri made and organising clearance of cheques

●Fanny – for organising the soft drinks from Coca Cola.

●Baravi – for the music that night plus putting together of the DVDs for Samoa and Spain.

●George and Emily Chambers for the donation of alchohol.

●Elizabeth Sikivou for her contribution of  salad dishes

●Mr Naivalurua for contribution of dalo for the lovo and organising the donation of drinks from Carlton Brewery.

●Mike for his contribtion of grog and cash towards the food cooked by Eileen Dilawar and kokoda made, and
