Easter basketball champs lead the way
The Saints basketball men’s defence of the Easter Championship looks strong after beating the national rep laced MacPacers side 65-27 at the Vodafone Arena.
The Fiji Bitter Basketball pool games will be played during the week with the finals to be played on Saturday.
Eight games were played lastnight - Dragons beat Police 47-44, the Warriors 57 overcame New Era 28, Raiwaqa side Boston beat Noobies 36-22 while Idaman beat Baseliners 43-20.
In the women’s competition, last year’s winners, Wed C also made a blistering start with a 34-26 victory over Chosen , USP lost 14-29 to Police while Spark defeated Golden Bati 34-15.
Games will continue tonight in Laucala Bay from 6pm.
