FIJI TEAM MANAGEMENT POSITION

TEAM MANAGER (4 POSITIONS)

Basketball Fiji invites suitably experienced and qualified individuals to apply for the positions of:

  1. Manager Fiji National Teams (2 positions)
  2. Manager Fiji U19 Youth Teams (2 positions)

The position of the Fiji National Team Manager is a term of 6 months. The position of Fiji U19 Team Manager is a term of 2 years. The primary responsibility for this position is to secure financial support for the team through organised fundraising drives and co- operates sponsorships.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Handling all financial, administrative and logistics matters of the National Team
  2. Manage the team for the pre-season and competitions program
  3. Organise and manage all team training and game requirement
  4. Maintain close communication with the coach and other appointed officials
  5. Provide support to the coach and other primary care personnel as and when required/needed
  6. Designing a recall system for the players should training be cancelled
  7. Maintaining an inventory of all sports/training equipments, uniforms, medical kit and other stores ensuring that they are in good order/condition and must be handed over to BF with a written report at the end of your term
  8. Communicate with players and parents through parental meetings, monthly newsletters, letters to parents etc.
  9. Upload the philosophy and standards as expected by BF
  10. Fostering and promote team work within the team by providing sound and disciplined leadership and direction to the team
  11. Travel with the team to International Events
  12. Organizing any other duties required by the team or BF
