Power struggle in basketball

A power struggle is expected in the Raiwaqa Basketball Players Association knockout tournament when 12 men and six women teams clash at Ed's Court. This AU-Graphics sponsored knockout will also serve as a trial. There will be RBPA ex-national reps on the scene who will be keeping an eye out for potential players who will make up the 30-member training squad in anticipation for next month's Fiji Games in Lautoka. Saturday saw the basketball players and youths initiate a clean-up campaign at the court before Basketball Fiji ran their 3-on-3 competition.

This will also serve to refresh basketball in the Raiwaqa area as they will be kicking off their league games and cup challenges after the tournament. The games will begin on Thursday and end on Saturday where the 30-member side will be named.
