Suva/Laucala Basketball Finals

Tonight's final (Friday 9th November, 2012) is promised to be an entertainment match up between the 2012 Easter Men's Basketball Champs Saints and the Fiji U19 Men's Basketball Team. The finals will be held tonight (Friday) at the Vodafone Arena at 6.30pm and admission into the games venue is free. The Fiji U19 Men's Basketball Team have been impressive over the 7 weeks competition and only suffered a defeat in the round robin matches to their final opponent the mighty Saints. The Fiji U19 Men’s Basketball Team will be lead by Captain Isireli Vuetibau and Mataika Koyamainavure who are the only two surviving National Junior Members from 2010. The Saints Men’s Basketball Team which is laced with current Senior National reps will be lead by National Men’s Team captain Leonard Whippy with the addition of younger brother and basketball sensation Marques Whippy. Marque’s who is based in Spain is currently in the country on break with his wife from a very hectic professional basketball session and will lace up for a very formable Saints Basketball Club. The Fiji U19 Men’s Basketball Team will use this match as their final preparation game for the FIBA Pacific Youth U19 Tournament which will be held on the 25th Nov -2nd Dec 2012 in Melbourne, Australia and the Saints Basketball Club are preparing for a basketball tour to New Caledonia in the month of December. The match up of both teams is anticipated to be a nail biting final.
