Boston in top form

DEFENDING champions Boston White continued with its unbeaten run in the Raiwaqa Basketball Super League overcoming Boston Red 39-30 in the men's round three competition at Ed's court on Wednesday night.

The win extended Boston White's lead on the competition points table.

Warriors, Raiwaqa Masters and Mighty Mights are the other undefeated men's teams in the competition so far. Raiwaqa Masters defeated Westy Stripes 91 37-32 on Wednesday.

In the women's competition, undefeated Dynamic Redz thumped Golden Bati 46-17 to remain in contention for the top prize.

Other unbeaten teams in the grade are defending champions Sparks and Lady Birds.

Raiwaqa Basketball Association official Peniasi Kainamoli said they were anticipating tougher games this weekend.

"All games will be tougher than expected as teams are preparing well and not only for this tournament but to earn a place in the Easter Championship which is the major competition for Basketball Fiji," he said.

"Game to watch this Saturday will be Warriors against MacPacers but team on the rise and to watch is Mighty Mights which consist of players below 19 years old."
