Kaji Knockout tournament Closers Childrens Basketball Clinic

A knockout tournament was organised by basketball Fiji to close the children's holiday Basketball camp down at Eds court, Raiwaqa. There were seven evenly divided mixed teams consisting of students at the camp. The first four days consisted on developing individual skills were participants were introduced to the skills of passing, dribbling, defense and the art of shooting. The last two days consisted of a round robin knockout tournament which saw each team play a minimum of 4 games each. The children from the Raiwai basketball clinic joined basketball fiji development camp and played an All- Star team from the camp. Basketball Fiji was blessed to have the service of Malcom Williams and Mark Fong whom came and share with the kids the importance of stretching and eating. Both Malcom and Mark are Gym instructors at the USP gym and both have sports science degrees. They also took the kids on exercises concerning dynamic stretch's. On the last day prizes were up for grabs where we saw some lucky individuals walk away with 3 basketballs, Water bottles, head bands and wrist bands. Each participant received a can of spirit light zero and a packet of twisters at the end of the clinic. Each participant thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were able to walk away  with the basic skill and knowledge of the game. The clinic was a success where we had over 50 kids learning and playing basketball over the school break..
