Dogs show fine form

BULLDOGS started their campaign in the Raiwaqa Basketball Players Association competition with two wins yesterday.

Bulldogs defeated Warriors 13-12 in the opening game of the competition before accounting for Filipinas 15-13 in their second game.

Raiwaqa basketball official Mala Ravai said all teams came well prepared and competition was strong.

Ravai said they wanted to raise the standard shown last season.

"We have some new teams join our competition this season and we hope to see the standard of competition move up another level," he said.

Top teams Bryceland and Freshmen started their season with wins as well yesterday.

Bryceland beat Mighty Mights, winning 22-21 in a close game and showed they will be a force to be reckoned with.
