LEVEL 2 COACHING COURSE COMPLETED

The coaches completed some 35 hours of sessions that included both on court and classroom units.  Much of the course was practical in content with coaches being required to share their knowledge on each subject.

In addition to the sessions, coaches received valuable information through the Basketball Palau Coaching CD, copies of all FIBA Assist Magazines and a CD on FIBA scouting videos and reports.

To become accredited as a level 2 coach, the coaches must now complete the practical component of the course by proving that they are competent to receive this accreditation level.

During the next year they will be required to present their preparation plans for their teams in the NBL and WNBL as well as provide copies of their practice sessions and will be evaluated during games for their ability in game coaching.

During the early part of 2010 these coaches will also complete a Presenter’s Course to qualify them to conduct Level 1 Coaching Courses for Basketball Palau.
