NDP SQUADS EDUCATION EVENING

Following Peoria’s address, the players were taken through a power point presentation on Sports Nutrition.  The presentation covered the types of food to eat and when, how these affected their energy systems for sport, how the food was transferred to energy in the body, when to eat and what, the importance of recovery foods after practice and training sessions, and the importance of fluids.

 

A short section on “Think to Drink” and the effects of de-hydration hit home the need to consume fluids before, during and following sessions. 

 

The final wrap up slide of EAT TO LIVE not LIVE TO EAT possibly did not hit home as hard, as along with Samoans and Fijians, nobody likes their food as much as Palauans!!
