KA'BONG TAKES ABL TITLE
The greater scoring power of Team Ka'bong through National Squad reps Una Rikrik and Traxx Mark, and Christopher Techur and Dembei Watanabe made the difference over the series. For Ididers none contributed more consistently than their National Squad rep in Gino Smau who was greatly assisted by performances by Ternol Malsol and Alan Marbou.
The ABL was in its first year after the PBF decided to seperate the NBL from other teams and create another league to cater for what was previously the second division of the NBL.
Congratulations to Ka'bong, who throughout the whole competition showed that they were the dominant team.
The NBL is planned to commence in May however, the starting date is still to be set as it depends on the completion of the repairs to the National Gymnasium in preparation for the Micronesian Games.
