SHELL ABL PLAY-OFFS: HIGH TIDE BEATS B.O.G, 80-66
After taking a 23-16 lead, High Tide continued its domination as they closed the first half with a 36-27 advantage. From there, High Tide never looked back as they went on to score the victory.
Eric Basco led High Tide’s scoring chores with 22 points while Clint Mersai topscored for B.O.G. with 16 on a losing cause.
In other games, Surangel Kings won over team Aqua, 83-81; Rivals bested On Fire, 75-74; Mercury Optimax routed Stingers, 78-71; Ka’bong drubbed Ikelauans, 99-73; Airwaves outclassed Mesang Red Storm 81-79; and Meda Boys outpaced Rider, 79-61.
Meanwhile in the WNBL, Smooth Riders bested Spartans, 59-50at the start of their play-offs. Charm led the scoring clutches for Smooth Riders with 19 markers while Jess tallied 24 for Spartans on the losing side.
The tournament sanctioned by the Palau Basketball Federation and is a tobacco, alcohol and drug free program. All violators will be banned from participating.
