Four games set for FBL Sunday

Four games will be featured on Sunday in the resumption of the 2011 Filipino Basketball League (FBL) at the Palau National gym.

Sporting a 6-10 win-loss record, the Jaguars will try to stay in contention for a spot in the quarterfinals as they face the defending champion Western Union (14-2) in the opener at 11 a.m.

Set to pace the Jaguars are Arlie Alba, Budz Pabro, Jason Tabuyo, Jun Ponting, Norbert Nova, Gener Aguinaldo, Renato Ogana, Eric Dedeles and Joel Anorma while Western Union will again rely on the team of Erwin Senadre, Bong Alambra, Emerson Patenia, Jeff Cruz and Sonny Jacinto.

On the other hand, the Aloha Maid Choppers will try to rebound from a heart breaking loss last weekend as they face the Slashers at 12:30 p.m.

The Choppers (8-8) will bank on the performances of PJ Esguerra, Mark Lofranco, Nelson Dupalco, Noel Caparaz, Rey Potot and Ronald Reyes while the Slashers (10-8) will have Bon Pramo, Jojo and Boyet Arevalo, Jojo Marino and Bong Montel.

In other games, Mam’l Divers Rangers will meet PNQ Rams at 2 p.m. while the Guardians will take on Surangel and Sons in the main game at 3:30 p.m.
