2011 Rudimch Government/Business League: MOF Omsangel, Spoilers keep unblemished record

Title contenders Ministry of Finance (MOF) Omsangel and team Spoilers continue to keep their clean slate after besting separate foes in the ongoing 2011 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

MOF Omsangel snatched its eight straight victory at the expense of Ministry of Education (MOE) I Spiders, 91-83 Wednesday night. MOF Omsangel led all night long despite the sudden siege by the Spiders in the final canto.

Nevertheless, MOF Omsangel managed to regain composure and secure the victory. Weston paced MOF Omsangel with 25 points while teammate John Stills added 21 as they are now 8-0 in the team standings while Yutaka Gibbons topscored for the Spiders with 37 markers with a support from Dean Terry who chipped in 15 but was not enough as they slipped to 4-2 in the team standings.

On the other hand, team Spoilers, sponsored by FR Construction, remains unbeaten in the business division after their 94-72 victory over Neco Tuesday night. Down 54-60 going into the last quarter, the Spoilers found their range as they unleashed a 30-11 run to score the come-from-behind victory.

Michael Bombita continues to sizzle for the Spoilers as he tallied 31 baskets while Leonilo Gonzales added 27 as they are still on top of their division with a 7-0 win-loss record as Kevin Keltner topbilled for Neco with 26 on the losing end as they slipped to 4-4.

In other games, MPIIC defeated MOJ Cops, 67-53; KSG won over PNOC/PBRA Mercury Optimax, 70-56; MOE I Spiders downed PPUC Kamik, 95-66; MPIIC bested MOE II, 79-68; PRR Dragons outscored Palasia Hotel, 81-63; SDA Crusaders escaped with a 66-65 win against Neco; and PPR Shark Attack drowned Dollar 99, 90-75.

Games resume tonight with PNCC Molekoi versus PPUC Kamik at 6 p.m. followed by the MOE II-Justice League match at 7:30 p.m. October 17 matches will have PNCC Molekoi against MOE I Spiders at 6 p.m. as MOJ Cops will meet Justice League in the main game at 7:30 p.m.
