PHS takes on BHS for ISL Girl’s varsity hoopfest
Beating their respective opponents convincingly, Palau High School (PHS) Black Widow and Bethania High School (BHS) Stellars are set to meet for the championship crown today for the 2011 Inter-School League girl’s basketball league at the Palau National gym.
PHS Black Widow, which finished the elimination round with a clean 5-0 win-loss record, went on to pound Palau Mission Academy (PMA) A Warriors, 60-20 in the playoffs with Charmaine leading the scoring chores with 18.
On the other hand, BHS Stellars, which landed second after the elimination round with a 3-2 card, drubbed Mindszenty High School Lady Cardinals, 78-36 with Lucy Aguon pouring 28 points.
With the wins, both PHS Black Widow and BHS Stellars sets the stage for the championship crown set at 4 p.m. while PMA A Warriors plays MHS Lady Cardinals for the consolation game.
